Electronic Drive Repair
The quest for continued advances in production automation generates electronic components that were beyond imagination in the very recent past. Unfortunately, these components can be costly and are not perfect; they sometimes fail in the tough industrial conditions in which they operate. In most cases, American Textile, LLC can offer repair services to put these components back in production at a fraction of replacement costs.
We have developed and are continuing to expand a large base of electronic schematics, programs and testing procedures to insure satisfactory performance of electronic repairs to our customers. Our general procedure is as follows:
Initial Inspection: Visual inspection for over-heating, discoloration, integrity of solder joints and general damage.
Reverse Engineering: In cases where schematics are not available, it is necessary that we make our own drawings from the board itself. Testing procedure and component loading criteria is also determined.
Cleaning: An appropriate cleaning procedure is used for the board or device to remove dust, dirt, stains or other debris.
Testing & Repair: Every component of the board or device is tested in a power-off mode to locate bad capacitors, weak resistors, low break diodes, etc. Damaged and weak components are replaced as necessary.
Power-up Simulation: All power supplies and inputs are activated and the unit goes through full simulation. The device operates as prescribed or additional repairs are made and the unit is re-tested.
Coating: It is necessary to apply a protective coating to some components to resist moisture, corrosion, dirt, etc.
Packaging: Each unit is packaged as necessary to prevent damage from static, handling, storage, etc.
The repair of Circuit Boards, Controls and Advanced Electronics is a constantly growing endeavor as further technological advances are made. If by chance you have a need for repair for electronics that is new or unfamiliar to our technicians, any information, schematics, or operating information supplied is of great benefit, both technically and economically.
We offer pricing for your approval before repairs are completed.
