Hand Builders and Stiffening Agents
SurfTechs 4000 – A hydroxyethylated cellulose stabilized vinyl acetate homopolymer. The product is designed for use as a fabric stiffening agent and a specialty denim coating. This product can be used in conjunction with water repellant finishes to achieve a clean and flat Techno appearance.
SurfTechs 4001 – A polyvinyl acetate polymer for use as a stiffening agent and hand builder. The product is compatible with various catalyst and resin finishing systems. It is also compatible with water repellants. It is durable to repeated home launderings. The product is highly recommended for use as a fabric hand builder, label stiffening agent and rope finish.
SurfTechs 4002 – A liquid styrene acrylic polymer for use as a stiffening agent and hand builder. The polymer lends water resistance to treated fabrics. It is compatible with hydrocarbon and fluorochemical water repellants and is extremely durable. The product is highly recommended for outdoor fabrics where stiff hand and water repellency are desirable properties.
SurfTechs 4005 – A liquid acrylic polymer for use as a soft and flexible hand builder. The polymer reduces fraying, pilling and seam slippage of treated fabrics.
SurfTechs 4010 – A liquid starch ether based polymer hand building finish. The product is recommended for conventional fabric stiffening and denim stiffening. The product may be used in conjunction with other finishes and resins. It is highly recommended for use as a fabric hand builder, a product to improve seam slippage strength and an additive to resin finishes enhancing flex abrasion and tearing strength values of treated cotton fabrics.
SurfTechs 4011 – A low cost and low viscosity starch ether based polymer hand building finish similar to SurfTechs 4010. The product may be used in conjunction with other finishes and resins to improve flex and abrasion resistance.
SurfTechs 4012 – A liquid vinyl acrylic polymer for high loft non-woven applications and for use as a stiffening agent and hand builder for woven fabrics. The product is catalyzed for extremely fast cure.
SurfTechs 4020 – A liquid acrylic flame retardant polymer used for hand building. The product lends a soft hand to treated fabric. The product may be used a lone as a flame retardant or in combination with other types of flame retardants.
SurfTechs 4021 – A liquid acrylic flame retardant polymer used for hand building. The product lends a stiff hand to treated fabric. The product may be used a lone as a flame retardant or in combination with other types of flame retardants.
SurfTechs 4022 - A medium to firm hand acrylic polymer formulated to be used as a coating polymer and non-woven binder. The product lends strength and is compatible with most thickeners and flame-retardants.
SurfTechs 4023 – A firm hand polymer formulated to be used as a flame retardant finish. The product may be used alone or in conjunction with other flame retardant products to meet various flame retardancy standards.
SurfTechs 4200 – A dry powdered combination natural and synthetic polymeric finish formulated for denim. The product enhances Sanforizing by facilitating rewetting, lending hand and controlling elongation.
SurfTechs 4206 – A dry powdered combination natural and synthetic polymeric finish formulated for denim. The product enhances Sanforizing by facilitating rewetting, lending hand and controlling elongation. The product is recommended for foamed application.
SurfTechs 4215 – A liquid acrylamide polymeric finish formulated for denim. The product enhances Sanforizing by facilitating smoothness, lending hand and controlling elongation. The product also provides the fabric with polymeric lubrication.
SurfTechs 4225 – A low formaldehyde pre-catalyzed DMDHEU resin formulated for application to pocketing. The product lends good shrinkage control, smoothness and excellent whiteness retention. It is highly resistant to chlorine and dry scorch.

Softeners
SurfTechs 4100 – A water dispersible organic cationic anti ozonate and softening agent. The product is recommended for use as a softening and anti ozone finish for indigo denim in full width indigo denim finishing. The product may also be applied to garments in laundry applications. In each application, the product lends a soft hand and protection from ozone fading.
SurfTechs 4106 – A concentrated amber liquid compound anti-ozonate softener base. It is a cationic fatty acid amide derivative that is dispersible in hot water. The product provides a soft and greasy hand while lending anti-ozone properties to indigo dyed denim garments.
SurfTechs 4107 – A concentrated light tan wax-like solid softener base. It is a cationic quaternary cyanoethylated fatty acid amide that is dispersible in hot water. The product provides a very soft and greasy type hand. It is considered low yellowing and is highly recommended for use as a water-dispersed softener for indigo denim garments. The product must be dispersed prior to use.
SurfTechs 4109 – A concentrated off-white wax-like solid softener base. It is a nonionic mixture of fatty acid esters that is dispersible in hot water. The product provides a soft waxy type hydrophilic hand. It is considered non-yellowing. It is highly recommended for white fabrics, garments and also for indigo denim garments. It is highly recommended for softening towels due to its hydrophilic nature.
SurfTechs 4110 – A concentrated light tan wax-like solid softener base. It is a cationic quaternary fatty acid amide and emulsifier blend that is dispersible in hot water. The product provides a very soft and silky type hand. It is considered low yellowing and is highly recommended for use as a water-dispersed softener for indigo denim garments. The product must be dispersed prior to use.
SurfTechs 4120 – A cationic micro-emulsion silicone softener highly recommended for denim finishing. The product lends a very soft and silky hand at low dosage rates. The product may also be used in garment wet processing applications for softening denim and twills.
SurfTechs 4121 is a mildly cationic silicone emulsion softener for use on cotton and cotton / polyester fabrics. The product is very clean running on pad rolls and equipment. The product imparts a luxurious, soft hand with excellent non-yellowing properties .
SurfTechs 4122 is a mildly cationic combination softener for use on sheeting and shirting. The product is formulated to lend a silky soft hand to cotton and cotton / polyester fabrics. The product will also provide surface slickness and needle lubricity.
SurfTechs 4125 – A nonionic polyethylene softener and lubricant highly recommended for denim finishing. The product lends a very smooth hand at low dosage rates. It significantly reduces needle-cutting problems associated with denim. The product may also be used in garment wet processing applications for softening denim and twills.
SurfTechs 4125-C – A cationic polyethylene softener and lubricant highly recommended for denim finishing. The product lends a very smooth hand at low dosage rates. It significantly reduces needle-cutting problems associated with denim. The product may also be used in garment wet processing applications for softening denim and twills.
SurfTechs 4130 – A blend of organic softeners and synthetic polymeric lubricants for use as a denim-finishing agent. The product is formulated to lend softness and lubricity in the Sanforizing process. The handle is described as soft and silky cationic.

SurfTechs 4302 – An ambient temperature cure fluorochemical and hydrocarbon wax combination product formulated for water, oil and alcohol repellency. The product is highly recommended for outdoor fabrics.
SurfTechs 4400 – A unique durable anti-microbial finish concentrate. The product is formulated to cross link to form a polymer network on fabric substrates of all types, cotton, rayon, and polyester/cotton. The product is highly recommended for medical fabrics including sheets and towels.
SurfTechs 4401 is a concentrated silane quaternary ammonium salt designed for use as a durable antimicrobial that cross-links to form a polymer network on the surface of fabric. The product lends a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, bacteria static and fungi static properties, to treated fabrics.
SurfTechs 4500 – An anionic water micro emulsifiable ultraviolet light absorber with enhanced durability compared to conventional ultra violet light absorbers. The product is highly recommended for draperies, curtains and upholstery fabrics.
SurfTechs 4580 – A water dispersible polyester polymer in solid form. The product, once dispersed, is designed for as a soil release agent and hydrophilic finish for polyester fabrics. The product may also be used, dispersion, as an anti back-staining agent in the garment wet processing of denim. The product must be dispersed in water prior to use.
SurfTechs 4583 is a unique multi-purpose auxiliary water dispersible polyester polymer. The product is designed to impart several desirable properties to fabric including: wicking, absorbency, soil release, bath lubrication, detergency and oil scavenging.

Process Specialties
SurfTechs 4320 – A nonionic non-rewetting wetting agent designed for use with fluorochemical type water, soil and stain repellants. The product is a low foaming and alkaline stable .
SurfTechs 4610 – A n ammonium salt of nonyl phenol ether sulfate. The product is a fast wetting foaming and wetting agent. The product is highly recommended for application in processing of carpet and carpet yarn.
SurfTechs 4615 – A sodium lauryl sulfate product derived from fatty alcohol. The product is recommended for use in the foaming of textile coatings.
